Shipping Policy – W0AEZ Radio Gear LLC (Updated 2025)
This Shipping Policy ("Policy") governs the shipping, handling, and delivery procedures for products purchased from W0AEZ Radio Gear LLC ("Seller," "W0AEZ," "we," or "us").
By placing an order, you ("Customer") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.
1. Shipping Destinations
W0AEZ ships both domestically within the United States and internationally to most countries.
International shipments may incur additional costs such as customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, or tariffs.
These charges are not included in product or shipping prices and are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
W0AEZ is not responsible for delays, holds, refusals, or fees imposed by customs agencies.
Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with their local import regulations.
Some destinations may be restricted due to carrier limitations or international regulations. Customers will be notified at checkout if their location cannot be serviced.
2. Order Processing Time
Processing time refers to the time required to prepare, produce, package, and hand off the order to the shipping carrier.
Typical processing times:
- Stock items: 1-5 business days
- Handcrafted/3D-printed items: 15-30 business days
- Custom orders: 15-30 business days
During high-volume periods, processing may extend beyond standard timeframes.
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time, which begins only after shipment.
Processing time estimates are not guarantees.
If unforeseen delays occur due to material shortages or other circumstances, W0AEZ will make reasonable efforts to notify the Customer. Significant delays may qualify for cancellation under the Terms of Service.
3. Shipping Methods and Carriers
W0AEZ uses a variety of carriers including:
- USPS
- UPS
- FedEx
- DHL
- Other regional or international carriers as appropriate
The available shipping options and estimated transit times will be displayed during checkout based on destination, package weight, and dimensions.
Carrier selection is determined by W0AEZ unless otherwise noted.
4. Shipping Charges
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary based on:
- Carrier selection
- Package weight and size
- Destination country
- Shipping speed
The Customer is responsible for all shipping fees, including expedited or international shipping costs.
Shipping fees are non-refundable except in cases where W0AEZ ships a defective, incorrect, or damaged product (see Return Policy Section 2).
W0AEZ does not currently offer free shipping promotions unless explicitly stated during checkout.
5. Customs, Duties, Import Taxes & Border Clearance
International customers are fully responsible for:
- Customs duties
- VAT or GST
- Import taxes
- Brokerage fees
- Inspection charges
- Any other government-imposed costs
W0AEZ cannot:
- Predict these fees
- Mark packages as "gift" or undervalue them (doing so constitutes customs fraud and violates international shipping regulations)
- Influence customs processing times
Customs authorities may delay, return, seize, or destroy packages at their discretion.
W0AEZ is not responsible for:
- Lost packages due to customs actions
- Refunds for items seized or destroyed
- Delays caused by customs inspection or processing
If a package is returned because duties were not paid or the shipment was refused, the Customer is responsible for new shipping charges to reship the package. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
6. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
Once an order has shipped:
- A confirmation email will be sent
- Tracking information will be provided when available
- Customers can monitor their shipment through the carrier's tracking system
For international orders:
- Tracking updates may be limited once a package leaves the United States
- Limited or no tracking is normal and does not indicate a lost package
7. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Shipments
All domestic shipments include $100 insurance coverage through our shipping partners. International shipments may have different coverage depending on carrier and destination.
Once a package is handed to the carrier, W0AEZ is not responsible for:
- Packages stolen after delivery
- Carrier delays
- Misdelivery caused by incorrect Customer-provided addresses
For lost packages:
- Customer must report loss to kevin@w0aez.com within 30 days of expected delivery
- W0AEZ will file insurance claims with the carrier on the Customer's behalf
- Replacement or refund will be issued once the claim is approved, subject to $100 coverage limit (or applicable international coverage)
- Carrier investigations and claims do not guarantee reimbursement
If a package shows no tracking updates for 30 days after the last scan, or delivery is delayed beyond 60 days from shipment date, it may be considered lost. Customers should contact kevin@w0aez.com to initiate an investigation.
Customers experiencing delivery issues should contact the carrier directly for:
- Delivery investigations
- Package status inquiries
- Tracking assistance
8. Shipping Restrictions
Some items may be subject to restrictions due to:
- Lithium or electronic components
- Hazardous goods regulations
- Country-specific import bans or limitations
- Carrier-specific safety requirements
W0AEZ complies with all applicable regulations and reserves the right to cancel or restrict shipments that cannot be legally or safely shipped.
Customers will be notified if their order is affected.
9. Shipping Address Accuracy
The Customer is responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address at checkout.
W0AEZ is not liable for:
- Delays
- Lost packages
- Misdelivery
- Returned items
resulting from incorrect or incomplete Customer-provided addresses.
If a package is returned to W0AEZ due to address errors, the Customer is responsible for:
- Additional shipping charges
- Providing an updated address
Once a package has shipped, W0AEZ cannot modify the address. Customers may contact the carrier directly to request address corrections or package holds, though additional fees may apply and success is not guaranteed.
10. Estimated Delivery Times
Transit times displayed at checkout are estimated and provided by the carrier.
Actual delivery times may vary based on:
- Weather conditions
- Customs inspections
- Carrier workload
- Remote delivery locations
- Local postal service handling
Delivery times are not guaranteed.
11. Returned or Unclaimed International Packages
If an international package is returned because:
- Customs fees were unpaid
- Delivery was refused
- The Customer failed to pick up the package
- Local postal service issues occurred
The Customer is responsible for new shipping charges to reship the package. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
12. Shipping Damage Claims
Damage during transit must be reported to kevin@w0aez.com within 7 days of delivery with clear photographic evidence of:
- The shipping box
- Packaging materials
- The product itself
- The shipping label
W0AEZ will review the claim and, if approved:
- File insurance claim with carrier (for insured shipments)
- Provide replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate
Claims reported after 7 days may not be eligible for resolution.
13. Policy Modifications
W0AEZ Radio Gear LLC may update or modify this Shipping Policy at any time.
Changes apply to all orders placed after the effective date of the update.
14. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of Colorado, USA.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Colorado.
