Great Battery!
So appreciate the workmanship and quality of this battery. Bought a spare Yaesu FT1XDR for cheap and this battery makes it a great radio for SOTA or everyday carry. Being able to recharge via USB C is huge! This is now my fav travel HT with no need to take other cables to charge other things. Such a great idea and execution - thanks!

Must Have!
Honestly, this is a must have for this radio if you plan to transmit and actively use APRS/GPRs. The stock battery can simply not run this radio at its full potential for more than a couple hours at best ... throw in some 5W QSOs and you will even have less time. I pretty much go at least a couple of days without needing to charge, that includes a few nets etc. What I also like about this battery is it makes it easier for me to hold the radio, and it is more stable when sitting on a desk etc ...

The battery is a big improvement on my FT5D, the radio can run all day! Fitment is good.

Since I put the new battery in the HT has worked beautiful and now I can make the whole day without it ever going dead and I scan all day and talk on it a lot now or I never could before.

FT-5D Extended battery
Overall, very happy. FT-5D radios eat batteries, so an extended life battery is great. The case has a good feel, though a little bit tight in the fit. Perhaps that will get better over time. Highly recommended.

Battery works Excellent and goes for a few days with 10% transmit and 90% listening. Easy to charge with my USB-C iPad charger. A Great buy.

Works as advertised. Evidently you can replace the 21700 battery. Haven’t tried that.
