This is a fantastic battery upgrade for my HT. The stock battery for my FT3 doesn't last very long and takes a very long time to recharge. This upgraded battery has more capacity and therefore lasts a really long time. It can also be recharged using a USB C cable.

This battery is a gamechanger for the FT3d! Especially when running aprs it can be a battery hog. This allows you to run without having to charge all the time. Amazing!

It has a robust build and packs a lot of features into its form factor. I like that it has physical channel and volume knobs rather than just buttons. The color screen is pretty nice. The colors are customizable. You can set custom background images and foreground colors. It supports Bluetooth and comes with a remote Bluetooth PTT button. Very convenient if driving.
If you’re used to Yaesu System Fusion or D-Star this radio requires a bit more of a learning curve for DMR functionality.

I received my battery for my FT3D. Still on it's first charge and haven't used it much since I got the Kenwood D-75. So far, it's going strong. Having the bigger battery helps with the grip, especially with being a right handed person. I don't cover the microphone on the radio with my ring finger as easily compared to the original battery.
The fit is a bit tight, but no issues getting it installed. So far, I'm liking the larger battery. Much longer run time. Can't wait until hunting season is here because my FT3D is my go to HT for the field. With the larger battery, it should last all day maybe longer. I'm hoping for a battery for the Kenwood D-75, wink wink!!!
